What is Generation neXt, or GX_ST?

We are a non-profit fansubbing group. We have absolutely NO intentions of selling any of our projects. If anyone is found selling our subs, it is NOT us. We will also do our best to ban that person from the forums. Even if they are a staff member, no matter how helpful, they WILL be banned. It is ILLEGAL PROFITABLE DISTRIBUTION, a HUGE crime.

Ah! I see someone selling your subs!!! What should I do?!

You say you are non-profit, but you ask for donations. What’s up with that?

Donations are for anyone who wishes to help us buy supplies such as rare raw episodes, better programs, and anything else that is to benefit the quality of our subs. It is entirely of their OWN FREE WILL. All donations are for this purpose ONLY. Not one cent of donated money goes toward personal usage. All transactions from the GX_ST donations account are monitored and approved by me, the leader, WhiteNightQueen. Of course, the other three admins watch over it as well. We keep an eye on everyone and each other to ensure that there is no withdraw that does not benefit the team’s projects.

Do you have an IRC channel?

Yup! It’s #gx_st@irc.rizon.net, but it’s new. Please be patient while we improve it. ^__^

Why are there no download links on the ‘Our Releases’ page?

All direct download links are available in the forum. That’s just a list of what we have to offer. Please note that it doesn’t have everything we offer listed. The forum is updated more.

You guys don’t update this blog often. Why not?

Most activity goes on in the forum. Also, releases tend to be conducted before an announcement is made here. The forum will tell you the latest.

Your releases can be somewhat slow. Are you procrastinating?

Nope, not at all. We are a high quality team. It takes a while to make high quality work, compared to speed subs. Also, there may be a little something going on behind the scenes for you guys, from time to time. ^__^

I have a fansub team too! Can I request a joint with you guys?

Of course! Go on the forum and PM WhiteNightQueen after getting 10 posts to gain PM and other member capabilities. Or, go on our IRC channel. Usually a staff member is there to help you out. ^__^

I want to join the staff! How do I?

Register on the forum, and go to the ‘Join Us’ section. You’ll know which thread to apply in when you get in there. There’s no such thing as too much staff with us! Give it your best shot!

Your slogan states, ‘The next generation of anime and manga starts here’. But you guys are a fansub group. Why say manga too?

We’re trying to recruit scanlators, so we can be a scanlation AND fansub team. We only have a couple at the moment, so we can’t necessarily start yet. But, we are translating the Shakugan no Shana novels. So at least some progress is getting done on it. If you can work on scanlating, give us a shout in the ‘Join Us’ section. ^__^
