Torrent releases started

March 30, 2008

We’ve started releasing torrents, starting with GX 164 HQ. DM episodes from the Duelist Kingdom Arc have been released via torrent as well. They are a batch torrent of 34-39, and one for episode 40 with avi and mkv included. You may get them in the usual downloads section of the forum. Our IRC is still new, so we are working on enhancing it. Please be patient with us. —WhiteNightQueen

IRC and new project ideas

March 30, 2008

We now have an IRC channel! Huge props for GoldenUmi, aka GU! Be sure to give him your thanks. The channel is: irc://irc.rizon.net/gx_st

As most of you know, we have completed Hatenkou Yuugi, and are catching up on Rosario+Vampire now that we have access to chinese subs for it. Now a new project is needed. One that belongs to GX_ST only, and not a joint. Thus, we are currently negotiating the Tsubasa Chronicles. It’s looking very likely.

We need timers, people! Plenty of DM episodes are translated but not timed due to lack of staff! We need you! We are willing to train! If you want to help but don’t know how, please PM me, WhiteNightQueen. We’ll train you quickly and easily to become an excellent timer! Mac and Windows users only please. You will gain staff benefits for joining, such as seeing the staff room, mod capabilities, access to raws, knowing the latest, and quickest access to releases. You will also maintain your staff rank by doing your part. Staff rank abuse won’t be accepted.

That’s all for now. Thank you for supporting Generation neXt.

Hatenkou Yuugi Season 1 Complete!

March 24, 2008

We have released Hatenkou Yuugi episode 10, thus completing the first season of Hatenkou Yuugi in both .avi and .mkv formats. If a second season appears, which is very likely, we will sub it as well. Also, in the future, we may release mkv as well for higher quality. It is undergoing discussion. Anyway, enjoy!

A couple releases and some news

March 20, 2008

GX 164 HQ sub is now released. And with many encoding issues out of the way, Hatenkou Yuugi 9 has been released. Hatenkou Yuugi 10 will follow suit. To check up on HY 10’s exact status, check in the forum under ‘Our Projects’.

Oski_neo, our head Japanese translator, is back, but working part time due to personal events. To make his and all other translators’ loads easier, we need more. Please join us via the forum if you can help. If you know anyone, please let them know about us.

Also, we have plenty of scripts needing timing, but lack of timers and typesetters delays releases. Again, please apply in the forum if you can help. We are willing to train, if you have either Mac or Windows.

Onibaku Joint Projects confirmed and other news

March 16, 2008

We’ve confirmed the projects to be done with Onibaku Fansubs. They are:

Groove Adventure Rave

Special A

Soul Eater

Hatenkou Yuugi 9’s encoding has been transferred to another encoder due to lost contact with the previous encoder. We sincerely apologize for the long wait.

Lots of news, good and iffy

March 12, 2008

Hatenkou Yuugi episode 9 has had some encoding issues. We apologize for the delay. It should be resolved soon. Hatenkou Yuugi 10 remains on schedule, and will be released after episode 9.

A possible joint with Onibaku Fansubs on various projects is currently undergoing negotiation. Check the News and Announcements section in the forum for more information, as well as the Joints Projects Progress section.

Rosario+Vampire continues it’s somewhat of a delay. Despite that, we aren’t dropping it altogether. I will be doing my best to translate missing lines in episodes 5 and 6. We have found chinese subs for episodes 7+, so we’ll use those from then on during our only Japanese translator’s hiatus.

With that said, WE NEED MORE CHINESE/JAPANESE TRANSLATORS, TIMERS, AND ATTACK EFFECT MAKERS. Please check the Join Us section in the forum to apply for a position. You will gain access to raws and behind the scenes action by joining. We’re still looking at scanlation in the future as well, so we need anyone with scanlation experience. Again, check the Join Us section to apply. You will also get the same benefits as a subbing staff member.
