Forum problem

April 21, 2008

We’re having some issues with the forum. The Invisionfree team is working on it. Unfortunately all we can do is wait it out. So, please bear with it for the moment. Due to these sorts of circumstances happening every here and there, we’re looking further into buying a more reliable a domain and forum. We’ve already decided on it a while back. It’s just a matter of where to buy from. We are very sorry for the inconvenience, and hope the Invisionfree team can work it out soon.

The following episodes (at least) are now available for download in the forum, or will be released sometime today (PST):

Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds 1 (out)

Yu-Gi-Oh! DM 54 (out)

Yu-Gi-Oh! DM 56 (confirmed for today)

Yu-Gi-Oh! DM 57 (confirmed for today)

We have a nice chunk coming in the next few days. Look forward to it. ^__^

We lack people in the IRC! Come visit us! I think some of you guys don’t know about it. It is: #gx_st@irc.rizon.net. We don’t have a bot for downloads yet, but never fear. Distro Staff is working on it.

New release and more to follow

April 20, 2008

Episode 55 of Yugioh DM, from the Battle City arc, has been released in both avi and mkv formats. Expect 56 and 57 possibly tomorrow.

Soul Eater 1 is finally undergoing encoding. Soul Eater 2 is timed and in typesetting.

We hope you guys enjoyed the new Special A 1 encode with translation improvements. To be honest, I don’t know if it’s considered upscaled or not. But I heard some people don’t like that. So, I hope it isn’t. If it is, it still looks great. ^__^

Special A 2 is typesetting with little left before encoding. We’ll have almost everything caught up in the next week or so, excluding Rosario+Vampire.

Speaking of Rosario+Vampire, we’ve got it moving again. BIG thanks to the staff who took extra time to assist with it. Take a look at the forum to see exact episode statuses.

Special A 1 re-encode released, plus other info

April 18, 2008

As the title says, the .avi re-encode of Special A episode 1 has been released. I personally know nothing about encoding, but I hope it’s settings and stuff are to your satisfaction. Get it in the Joint Project Downloads section of the forum, since it was done while this project was still a joint. From episode 2 on, get the releases in the Special A download section. Unfortunately, we were not able to change the karaoke. The time it required would have cut into catching up on Soul Eater and Special A episode 2. I’m sure you guys don’t want our weekly episodes turning out how Rosario+Vampire did. That’s still in progress, btw. ^__^

Speaking of Special A, episode 2 is doing very well with a new effect for the opening, which is excellent, by the way. It should be, since it took nearly 6-7 hours to finish. For more information on the exact status, please check the forum. With final karaoke out of the way, releases should come sooner each week for this.

As for Soul Eater, episode 1 is near done. Encoding will be done very soon, so please bear with us a little more. The tweaks in the joint are pretty much fixed, so we will probably be on an easygoing pace by episode 4. Episode 2’s translations are done, with more in progress. Again, check exact statuses in the forum.

Encoder issues resolved, this and that, yadda yadda.

April 16, 2008

We’ve resolved our issues regarding who encodes what in the joints. Those assigned to encode the past weekend had vanished, thus we had to pull another out of our butts. From now on, we’ve placed backups for every job to ensure that this doesn’t happen again.

We’ve got some nice karaoke and fun attack effects in Soul Eater waiting for you guys. When it comes out, you special effects lovers will not be disappointed! It is well worth the wait.

Speaking of the wait, we do not plan on taking this long each week. We plan for weekend releases at the latest, especially since we are a HQ team. If you’re looking for speed-subs, we suggest you take a look at some other team. But, everyone is always welcome back here for the HQ versions. ^__^

Special A episode 1 version 2 is in encoding prep right now. A new mkv may not be made, though, due to encoder availability. An avi, which will NOT be upscaled this time, will be released AT LEAST. As stated in a past update, translations have been improved and karaoke errors changed now that we can hear the song clearly (without all the background noise), in the full opening brought by episode 2. It’ll be quite an improvement, if I may say so myself.

The Special A full opening will have a different effect than used in episode one. For those who didn’t know, the song featured within episode one was the opening theme. We plan to make it more entertaining than usual karaoke, like our Hatenkou Yuugi opening. Don’t worry though, effects will not be repeated. Just the general interchanging effects idea.

A few small updates

April 14, 2008

xxxHolic – Kei and the Hellsing OVA IV have been decided against. We will be focusing on completing Yugioh DM and GX in place of those two.

Soul Eater episode one will be out in the next couple days. We have reasons for the delay. Check the forum for more information. I assure you, it will have a FANTASTIC result. No upscale encodes here. Episode two’s progress will start today as usual. That way it won’t be late.

A better SA encode will come when an encoder is available. Some minor translation edits have been made as well, so the translation will be better as well.

Even though we will continue Special A, it has been dropped from the joint. It’s a bit much for Onibaku staff. They have their own projects, after all. Again, SA will be continued by GX_ST only.

Yugioh GX Season 4 torrents and two releases

April 13, 2008

All of our Yugioh! GX season four releases now have a torrent. You can get them in the forum, or our AniRena torrent page. GX 165 and 166 HQ sub are now out as well, with MU and torrent links. Enjoy!

Also, the Special A episode 1 will have a better encode soon. We released what we could do so you guys had something, since the original encoder vanished… >< Anyway, please delete the old one when we get the new one up. I will announce it here when it’s ready.

Mac playback error fixed

April 12, 2008

The inability to play the subtitles on the mkv for Special A episode 1 on macs has been fixed, and the link replaced. It should play properly now. If any errors occur again, we will fix them.

To the person who commented that we should ‘stick to Yugioh and Sonic’ because we can’t handle ‘real anime’: You aren’t forced to watch our stuff if it doesn’t fit your every need. I’d like to see the so called “translation errors” you found, and what it really is. If you know so much, you’ll have no problem doing so. Email them to me at mysticdragon222@hotmail.com, and I’ll see what I can do. Don’t be a jerk. Fansubbing is hard work. If you don’t have the courage to email me, that just goes to show you are in no position to criticize us. Or, you’re from a rival team and trying to bring us down the dirty way. I’ll give you a week.

Special A released

New project after Rosario+Vampire

April 11, 2008

After completion of Rosario+Vampire, we will begin subbing Sonic X, at least season 3. Languages will include English, Spanish, and Dutch. It will probably be a joint project. With whom, is still undergoing negotiation.

Special A is undergoing encoding right now, and should be released today. For more information, see the forum. Also, Soul Eater translations are done with the exception of the preview. Timing is underway, and the preview is being translated. Special effects for Soul Eater are also being done. We plan on a weekend release, due to the delays we had in translation. I know I said thursday, but that was only our goal. The first week of a weekly series is always the hardest, since it includes karaoke and lyric translations. Plus, we are a HQ team, and only settle for the best. We apologize for the wait. We should have them both out shortly.
